Use one value per line and one to three attributes. Leave both fields of an optional attribute empty to omit it. The example below makes six variations.
Your entries stay in this page. Nothing is created in your store by generating or downloading a file.
WooCommerce draft CSV: one variable parent followed by its variations, with unique planned SKUs, parent references and local product attributes. The parent SKU ends in -PARENT; variation SKUs use -001, -002 and so on. The parent is set to draft. The optional price and stock apply equally to every variation.
Planning CSV: a simpler table of SKUs and attribute combinations for checking your catalog. Use the draft CSV for WooCommerce’s product importer.
This tool creates a new product file. It does not check your store for existing SKUs, edit an existing product, add images or create global attribute taxonomies. Check the SKU prefix before importing. Reordering values also changes which combination receives each numbered SKU.
Want to inspect the format first? Download the six-variation example CSV. It contains a demo product, a 19.99 regular price and stock of 5 per variation; use it only in a test store.
For the six-combination example, check for one draft SHIRT-PARENT product and six attached variations, from SHIRT-001 to SHIRT-006. Empty price fields need completing before a variation can be purchased.
CSV format checked with WooCommerce 11.2.1 in a local test store. Check the mapping and review a small import in your own setup.
See the official WooCommerce CSV importer documentation for mapping, skipped rows and version-specific behavior. The browser preview is not an import-success report.
Two colors × three sizes produces six variations. Adding four materials produces 24. Repeated values within each attribute are removed without regard to capitalization. The tool supports up to 500 combinations and shows 25 at a time; both downloads include the complete generated set.
Commas and quotation marks are handled in the CSV. Use plain text without HTML brackets, pipes or backslashes. Values starting with =, +, - or @ are rejected so a text entry cannot become a spreadsheet formula.

Review parent links, repeated SKUs, variation prices and local attribute options. Choose a file from your device, or try the example with deliberately introduced issues. Your CSV stays in this browser; this tool does not upload it or connect to your store.

Existing store records cannot be verified here. Use the second option when your variation-only CSV refers to existing parents.
Up to 2 MB, 1,000 product records and 250 columns. English core-export columns: Type, Parent, and SKU or ID. Comma, semicolon and tab separators are supported. Record numbers include the header as record 1; they are not physical line numbers in multiline CSV fields.
Choose a CSV or try the built-in review example.
A variation can point to a parent by SKU or by id:123. When the parent is in your file, the report shows the connection and compares supplied local attribute values. Empty values can mean “Any”; global attribute terms and existing parents need checking in your store. A price of zero is accepted by this review.
These are review flags, not an import simulation. It does not check your database, SKU collisions already in your store, global terms, image availability, extensions or whether the product will be visible on your theme. The download is a review report, not a corrected product-import CSV. Keep your original file and test a small batch on staging.
For field mapping and current import steps, use the official WooCommerce CSV documentation. For storefront diagnosis, follow variations not showing or attributes versus variations.
Create product variations, stock, SKUs and prices on one screen. Pro adds bulk editing of existing variations with a preview and undo.
